Sanosil S015 Ag serves as an all purpose disinfectant
concentrated product manufactured by Sanosil Ltd. Sanosil S015 Ag is best suited
for surface, aerosol, and water disinfection. It is used generally as a
pipeline disinfectant and/ or a water disinfectant but can also be useful as a
surface disinfectant in a diluted state. Sanosil S015 Ag is used to
fight against bacterial endospores.

Hydrogen peroxide, the active substance present in SanosilS015 Ag, generally displays the inconvenience of not being stable that
leads to its slow decomposition in water and in presence of oxygen. This
compels the formulation to have silver along with hydrogen peroxide that helps
in the upgradation and stabilization of the active substance thus rendering the
product to be highly effective against a wide batch of microorganisms. Addition
of silver to the formulation provides it with a several times stronger
antimicrobial effect than that of normal hydrogen peroxide.
The elemental oxygen detached by the hydrogen peroxide
brings about an attack on the cell walls of the micro organisms directly. The
chemical reaction that occurs between the cell wall molecule and the oxygen
causes the destruction and denaturation of the molecules of the silver. This
effect is further enhanced by the silver ions present in the formulation that
brings about the inactivation or precipitation of certain proteins of the micro
organism by creating a bond with the disulfide bridge of those proteins.
